The Outstanding Attitude Awards 2019 comprise of 10 categories, designed to celebrate innovation and best practice across the music industry when it comes to make live music accessible for Deaf and disabled music fans.
Nominations close at midnight on Friday 21st December, and must be submitted by the company / organisation / venue or event being entered.

1. The Nigel McCune DIY Access Award
Recognising venues, bands, artists and promoters who have taken a DIY approach to improving live music accessibility.
Eligibility: Any venue, band, artist or promoter that can demonstrate how they have improved the accessibility of their events in a DIY and low-cost way.
The Access Starts Online Awards
Recognising venues and events that provide high quality and comprehensive online access information for Deaf and disabled audiences.
2. Access Starts Online Award - Venue over 500 cap
Eligibility: Any music venue over 500 capacity
3. Access Starts Online Award - Venue under 500 cap
Eligibility: Any music venue under 500 capacity
4. Access Starts Online Award - Outdoor event
Eligibility: Any single day or weekend outdoor event
The Ticketing Without Barriers Awards
Recognising venues, events and ticketing companies that have worked to improve the access booking experience for Deaf and disabled customers.
5. Ticketing Without Barriers Award - Venue / Event
Eligibility: Any venue or event that can demonstrate improvements that have been made to enable Deaf and disabled people to book tickets and access easily.
6. Ticketing Without Barriers Award - Ticketing Company
Eligibility: Any ticketing company that can demonstrate improvements that have been made to enable Deaf and disabled people to book tickets and access easily.
7. Tech Innovation Award
Recognising companies that have utilised technology to make live music more accessible and inclusive for Deaf and disabled audiences.
Eligibility: Any company or partnership of companies that can demonstrate how they have removed barriers for Deaf and disabled music fans via innovative uses of technology.
8. Big Ambition Award
Recognising larger venues and events that are using their capacity to push forward the definition of what is possible when it comes to improving access and live music.
Eligibility: Any arenas, large venues or large outdoor events that can demonstrate significant investment in improving accessibility and pushing beyond good practice.
9. Customer Focus Award
Recognising examples of excellent customer service and/or consultation when it comes to welcoming and engaging with Deaf and disabled audiences.
Eligibility: Security companies / Venues / Festivals / Access to performance providers that can demonstrate excellent customer service and/or consultation with Deaf and disabled audiences.
10. Infrastructure Award
Recognising excellent examples of access infrastructure implementation, such as viewing platforms, accessible toilets, showers and ‘High Dependency Units’.
Eligibility: Any infrastructure supplier or partnership with a venue / event that can demonstrate excellent practice in the implementation of indoor or outdoor access infrastructure.
