Attitude is Everything are out in the fields once more this August at Carling Weekend: Leeds and Reading Festivals!
Leeds Festival
Our volunteer mystery shoppers are out in force checking out all aspects of the Leeds site, but we can't reveal any more about this for fear of revealing the true identities of our mystery shoppers!
Reading Festival
Due to the success of the volunteer disabled stewards project last year at Carling Reading and Leeds, disabled stewards will be part of the Oxfam team again.
Mark Atterbury, Mark Lancaster, Jeff Arthur, Graham Haylette (p.a.), Tony Lawson, John Madge (p.a.), and Genevene and Peter Hamilton (p.a.) have given up their free time to volunteer, both day and night, on the viewing platforms for disabled people.
We are excited to announce that for the first time, there will be an Attitude is Everything Information Tent in the Guest / Disabled Campsite. Tom Head (our first ever Business Manager), Paul Bonham (our 2 nd Business Manager), Steve Ledbrook, Alan Holloway (p.a.) and Alex Laing will be giving up their free time to staff the tent. The Attitude is Everything Information Tent opens on Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 5pm. We will provide information about all the facilities and services for disabled people on-site at Reading, collect feedback and to give out information about the Attitude is Everything project in the Information Tent, so come and say “hello” with a beer or 3.
You will also get the chance to meet the Attitude is Everything staff – Suzanne Bull (Project Manager), Graham Griffiths (Business Manager) and Josephine Wilson (p.a.) - in person as we will be in the tent and generally wandering about the site (with purpose, we might add as we are checking out the access facilities and new bands to play Club Attitude!)
Our thanks to Jon Shepherd at Oxfam and Sharon Reuben at Mean Fiddler Music Group plc for making this all happen!
