Attitude Is Everything gathers its knowledge from the experiences of our team of Mystery Shoppers. If your deaf or have a disability you can text out your local music venues or local clubs of your choice. Up the cost of 2 tickets, travel expenses and photographic expenses can be claimed back on receipt of your feedback report within a reasonably agreed budget (usually around £50). All you have to do is contact Attitude Is Everything about where you want to go, then book your tickets and after the gig / club night / festival, fill in a short questionnaire about access and staff attitude.
Attitude is Everything uses this information to improve disabled people’s access to live music by encouraging solutions to issues raised resulting in them signing The Attitude Is Everything Charter of Best Practice. Charter venues pledge to improve access and remove attitudinal barriers through staff training and alterations.
The following venues are signed up to the Charter:
- London – The Spitz, Islington Academy, Brixton Academy, Shepherds Bush Empire, The Garage, Earls Court & Olympia Ltd, The Royal Albert Hall and Wembley
- Essex – Colchester Arts Centre
- Brighton – The Dome, The Brighton Centre and Concorde 2
- Liverpool – Carling Liverpool Academy
- Sheffield – Leadmill, Hallam FM Arena Sheffield
- Cambridge – The Junction
- Scotland– Carling Glasgow Carling Academy, Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Aberdeen Press & Journal Arena
- Bristol – Carling Bristol Academy
- Birmingham – Carling Birmingham Academy, National Indoor Arena, The National Exhibition Centre
- Nottingham Arena
- Wales - Cardiff International Arena
- Bournemouth International Centre
- Ireland - Odyssey Arena, The Point Theatre, King's Hall Exhibition & Conference Centre
