As from 1st October 2004, all venues have to make physical alterations to their premises under the Disability Discrimination Act. Are you ready? Do you know what to to do? Are you confused by the legislation?
Attitude is Everything was set up to develop services specifically tailored to the music industry:
Disability Equality Training
We assist venues to:
- understand the Disability Discrimination Act
- prioritise a list of changes that need to be made
- offer the same level of service to disabled audience members, employees and artists as non disabled people
All training sessions are tailor-made to the venues requirements.
Meet our trainers...
Attitude is Everything is pleased to announce that we have received funding from Festival Republic to provide Disability Equality Training bursaries to small venues that wish to have their staff trained but would struggle to meet the full costs of the specialised training. Access Auditing
We assist venues who are looking to make improvements to their premises to make an inclusive environment that is accessible to everyone. All audits are tailor-made to the venues requirements.
Promotion
We act as a specialist promotion, marketing and publicity agency for venues to find disabled musicians and DJ's, as well as sending out event information to our national mailing list of disability organisation and disabled individuals.
Representation
Promoting and representing issues on disabled people's access to live music at key music industry events - (we are regular presenters at ILMC as well as In the City, South By South West, Miami Winter Music Conference and The Events Show).
