We are delighted to announce that we have received £2744 in guestlist donations from Ground Control’s Bluedot Festival. In 2015, Ground Control became one of our corporate donors, raising funds for us initially from guestlist donations at Parklife. Ground Control’s Managing Director Jon Drape, a well respected figure in the live entertainment industry, joined us as a Patron in 2016.
“Just like Attitude is Everything, we believe that live music is for everyone” – Jon Drape
He joined us with 25 years of experience, having toured internationally, production managed the legendary venue The Hacienda, and taken a key lead role in the delivery of Liverpool 2008's Capital of Culture Opening Ceremonies. More recently, Jon has been instrumental in the inception and development of some of the UK's most well loved festivals, including Bluedot, Parklife, Live From Jodrell Bank and Festival Number 6, all of which are on or working towards joining Attitude is Everything’s Charter of Best Practice. He is regularly seen on panels at festival and event industry conferences and is rightly considered as a leader in the field.
Jon Drape, Managing Director at Ground Control an Attitude is Everything Patron says:
“Just like Attitude is Everything, we believe that live music is for everyone, and are pleased to support a charity whose ethos enables equality and independence for those with a disability, at festivals and live music events. It’s wonderful to know that the donation will have such a positive impact and will enable the charity to continue with the great work they are already doing. It’s an honour to be a Patron of the charity and I look forward to helping raise further donations for the charity throughout 2017.”
Suzanne Bull MBE, Chief Executive Officer, Attitude is Everything says:
“I’d like to thank Ground Control for choosing us as one of their charities, as well as the Bluedot Festival guests who kindly donated to us. Ground Control are instrumental in supporting us to improve Deaf and disabled people’s access to live music, and their donation ensures that we can give even more opportunities to our beneficiaries who are passionate about live music. Jon is also a great advocate and Patron for us, which is wonderful to experience!”
