Nozstock: The Hidden Valley is one of Britain’s brilliant independent festivals, hosted each year at Rowden Paddocks Farm in Herefordshire.
In granting the award, Nozstock has been specifically recognised by Attitude is Everything for:
- Exceptional pre-event website information, including detailed photos and descriptions of the terrain, an accessibility breakdown of each stage and a social story so customers with autism or learning disabilities can understand what to expect at the festival.
- A dedicated and stewarded accessible campsite with easy access to the area, welfare tent, parking and food & concession stands.
- A viewing platform, accessible toilets and additional tickets for personal assistants at no extra cost.
Commenting on the award, Suzanne Bull MBE, CEO of Attitude is Everything, said:
“We’re really pleased to welcome Nozstock onto the Charter as they are a fantastic example of how a festival can overcome a challenging festival site and provide brilliant access through detailed pre-event information, a dedicated access team and a great attitude. Today’s award is a testament to the Nozstock team’s outstanding level of engagement around accessibility and we look forward to supporting them to move up the Charter in future years.”
Ella Nosworthy, Creative Director of Nozstock, added:
“Everyone at Nozstock is absolutely delighted to have gained the bronze award from Attitude is Everything. With difficult terrain on site we weren't sure what we could do to improve our accesibility but the support Attitude Is Everything have provided us in order to get to this level has been invaluable. It just goes to show that simple improvements can make all the difference to our visitors and attitude is indeed everything!”
Ella went into even greater detail for our case study on the festival.
